Randy Gilmore

As Vice President and Chief Development Officer, Randy is responsible for market research, analysis, general management planning, business development, and overall long-range market planning. In 2023, he was also named President of El Paso Makes, a subsidiary of the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM).

Randy joined NCDMM in 2011 as a Senior Program Manager for the Aerospace Program Group in part due to his extensive background in optics and lasers. He previously held the position of VP and Chief Technology Officer providing leadership in advanced manufacturing technologies and processes. Additionally, Randy was the Corporate Director of Technology at The ExOne Company where he acquired over 30 years in the field of nontraditional machining techniques and government program management. With his extensive experience, he offers new insight into NCDMM’s business strategy and the development of its Alliance Partner network.

Randy earned his education from the University of North Carolina where he majored in Mathematics and Computer Science. He holds multiple patents and has authored numerous publications in his areas of expertise. Additionally, he routinely provides insight as a speaker at national and international symposiums on finishing and non-traditional machining and as an advisor to the National Science Foundation.
