Scott Hibbard

Board Member

Scott has over 40 years of experience in the industrial motion control industry, primarily with Bosch Rexroth Corporation and its former Indramat Division. He played a key role in the introduction of industrial brushless AC servo drives and the shift from mechanical to electronic motion control in manufacturing, printing, and packaging.

He led Rexroth’s Industrial Development & Applications Engineering across the Americas and later founded its North American Innovation Group in 2017, focusing on Industry 4.0 solutions and IIoT use cases. Scott’s work emphasized data analytics and information interoperability in manufacturing environments.

He served 23 years on the board of Sercos North America and chaired AMT’s Technical Issues Committee from 2004–2021. He currently serves on the boards of the Manufacturing Technology Deployment Group (MTDG), the MTConnect Board of Trustees, and German American Events, LLC.

An accomplished author of technical articles on digital drive control, IIoT, and energy efficiency, Scott now consults occasionally for startups and tech ventures.
