Hibbard joins the board on the back of 44 years of experience in the

industrial motion control industry

Clearwater, FL — The Manufacturing Technology Deployment Group, Inc. (MTDG) today announced the appointment of Scott Hibbard, former Vice President of Bosch Rexroth Corporation to its Board of Directors.

“Scott’s incredible amount of experience across the industry makes him a valuable addition to the MTDG Board,” said MTDG CEO and President Dean Bartles, Ph.D. “We’re extremely excited to have him join us and know that our board is stronger because of it.”

Hibbard has been associated with the industrial motion control industry for forty-four years, forty-one of those with Bosch Rexroth, where he played a key role in the pioneering introduction of the first practical industrial brushless AC servo drives and multi-processing CNCs used in high-production manufacturing, as well as moving printing and packaging automation technology from mechanical systems to precision electronic motion control. In 2017 Scott founded & led Bosch Rexroth’s North American Innovation Group. There, he was active in the development of the Industrial Internet of Things (Industry 4.0) solutions, including the development of use cases and standards enabling meaningful interchange of information across the manufacturing environment & data analytics for manufacturing use cases.

“After a career of fostering innovation in the control and monitoring of manufacturing equipment and processes, I look forward to contributing to the MTDG,” Hibbard said. “The goals of MTDG match my own passion for manufacturing.”

The MTDG Board is charged with providing strategic guidance to the leadership of MTDG as well as providing oversight to ensure the organization is fulfilling its stated mission to transform advanced manufacturing by driving innovation and accelerating growth. The MTDG group of companies and programs includes Advanced Manufacturing International (AMI), the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM), whose entities include not-for-profits the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation and Integration Center (AMIIC), and Advanced Manufacturing Applied Research and Innovation Institute (AMARII), and management of America Makes (Department of Defense manufacturing innovation institute for additive manufacturing), and the V4 Institute.
