NCDMM CIO Joe Veranese Promoted
Clearwater, Fla. — September 15, 2020. The Manufacturing Technology Deployment Group, Inc. (MTDG) announces the appointment of Joe Veranese as Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO), effective immediately. Mr. Veranese will report directly to MTDG President Dean L. Bartles, Ph.D., FSME, FASME.
“I am pleased to announce Joe’s promotion to the MTDG executive leadership team as VP and CIO,” said Dr. Bartles. “Throughout his tenure at NCDMM, he has applied his strong information technology background to ensure our infrastructure and enterprise systems were optimally meeting and exceeding our operation’s needs. As we grow as a family of MTDG companies, I am confident that Joe will make a similar impact. Join me in congratulating Joe on his promotion.”
During his tenure at NCDMM, Mr. Veranese was instrumental in fostering the strategic relationship between NCDMM, Siemens, and Deloitte. Forging this affiliation directly led to the creation of the America Makes Digital Storefront; built in the AWS Cloud using Siemens PLM tools. Under his leadership, NCDMM has introduced a unique deployment strategy for the Siemens PLM tools, earning both NCDMM and Mr. Veranese recognition within the industry at the annual PLM World Conference.
“My thanks to Dean for this opportunity,” said Mr. Veranese. “In today’s business environments, leveraging information technology and data effectively is critical to operational success. I look forward to meeting the evolving operational and infrastructure needs of MTDG and its family of companies by providing strategic direction and oversight of corporate IT.”
Previously, Mr. Veranese briefly served as the CIO of the NCDMM. Before that, he served as the Corporate Services Director responsible for providing program management oversight for corporate resources and initiatives, as well as implementing operational NCDMM improvements and managing staff. Specific corporate resources included information technology, including cybersecurity, internal-external networks, and hardware/software solutions; communications, including event planning, information dissemination, and media relations; and budget analysis company-wide.
Mr. Veranese joined the NCDMM in 2013 as the Business Systems Manager, responsible for administering the organization’s information systems and technologies.
Before joining the NCDMM, he spent 20 years in the financial sector and served as the Operations Manager of a bank services organization. During his tenure, he seamlessly migrated an on-site data management system to a data center for three service locations, streamlining operational control of a multi-site environment. The project was so successful that after its conclusion, the process and application were commercialized, generating additional revenue streams.
He holds a B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
